personal development workshops
This is a group lesson where personal ideas and interests can be explored, alternatively I can set a theme around a specific discipline or subject matter. This allows you to develop and focus individually and for me to tailor your time appropriately helping with technique and creative possibilities.
Bespoke workshops
I create bespoke workshops in a variety of subject matter and media ranging from: portrait work, understanding and using perspective in drawing and painting, abstraction and realism, creative watercolour working from observation, mixed media, collage, painting outdoors, various printing techniques, photographic editing, creative overlays etc.
One day life drawing class

“Having not put pencil to paper for some 46 years, I approached my first lesson with some trepidation. But I was amazed at how lovely and relaxing it was to sit and draw, or paint, or collage for a few hours with Frances making very reassuring noises at my side. She helped me with techniques and ideas without taking over. She encouraged us to look at each other’s work and to stand back to view the pictures from a distance.
I now look at pictures and views in a completely different way and have done some drawing on my own at home. I will certainly be attending more of her classes; it is one of many ways to spend one’s retirement in a rewarding and supportive environment.”

“Thanks Frances for a truly lovely day. You have so inspired me and I loved every minute. I painted better today than ever thanks to you although not perfect. So looking forward to next time. See you in two weeks. What a lovely way to spend the day.”
